Ladies: Hussars Ladies lost agaist Kosynierki "B" Wroclaw

On the 18th of June the Poznan Hussars Ladies played against the Kosynierki “B” Wroclaw at the Posnania Stadium in Poznan. It was a début for the Hussars Ladies in front of their own fans.

Both teams have been practicing and playing lacrosse for more or less the same time. Both played three games at the Silesia Cup held in Wroclaw.

Blazej Rokicki and Ula Filipek were the main referees of this game. They started the event sharp at 12:30PM and ladies started “the battle”. The first few minutes were quite a chaos and the ball was mainly in the middle part of the field. However minute by minute Kosynierki started to gain advantage and scored twice. Unfortunately Hussars Ladies did not respond losing the first half 2:0.

In the second half the gathered fans witnessed a real shootout! The ladies from Wroclaw scored three more goals leading 5-0. The hosts responded with one goal by Sandra Szostak (it was her first goal as a Hussar Lady). The joy of the team from Poznan didn’t last very long as the Kosynierki scored for the sixth time.

After giving the motivating speech to the Hussars Ladies by their coach they went into the field with a whole new spirit! The second goal for the Hussars Ladies was scored by Monika Szczepankiewicz. Another one was scored by Magdalena Zurawik after a beautiful pass from Marta Dziekanska. The game ended with a goal by Milka Matkowska setting the score at 6:4 for the Kosynierki Wroclaw.

The Hussras Ladies left a lot of strength and heart on the field and they are sure that it’ll benefit in the future. Another experience gained will be great motivation to practice even harder now!

Keep laxing!
