Hussars In the German League!
The Poznan Hussars appeared in their first games in the East Division of the German Lacrosse League!
On Saturday, the 9th of October, the team from the heart of Wielkopolska set out to conquer the capital of Germany – Berlin! We had two games scheduled: against Berliner Lacrosse Verein and against our old rivals, Cottbus Cannibals.
The first game was against the team from Berlin. They were second in their league in the last season. The game was really evenly matched but the hosts had experience on their side and took advantage of our mistakes without mercy! The final score was 11:3 for BLAX. Pawel Hamrol, Jedrzej Baginski and Zdzislaw Ratajczak scored for Poznan.
The second game against the Cannnibals was expected to be very exciting! We lost with Cottbus during the poznan Open tournament in 2009 so it was a great opportunity for revenge. The Hussars dominated during the whole game! The final score was 10:2 for Poznan! The players who scored for Poznan were: Pawel Hamrol - 3, Jedrzej Baginski and Zdzislaw Ratajczak - 2, Marcin Basinski, Maciej Pacanowski and Marek Biesiada - 1.
