PLL: Hussars at Kosynierzy - annoucement

On March 31 at 12:30pm in Wroclaw’s Olympic Stadium on al. Ignacego Jana Paderewskiego 35, Kosynierzy Wroclaw will host the Poznan Hussars in the 7th round of the Polish Lacrosse League.

The season’s top game of the PLL always attracts a large audience. The country’s best teams, by the river Wisla, had gone head to head three times since the league’s inception – Poznan was victorious twice and Wroclaw once.

Kosynierzy will do everything to push their biggest rivals off the podium and take the title of Poland’s Champions away from them, while at the same time getting even over their loss (9:8) in October’s game in Poznan. The Hussars on the other will do everything to defend their title.

„We have the season’s most important game ahead of us. Kosynierzy were always a dangerous rival in front of their home crowd and games on those fields were an endeavour to say the least. This time we’re going in prepared and motivated. We believe the Hussars will win and get the extra point in the league’s standings”-claims Pawel Hamrol, the Hussars’ captain.

The Hussars beat Ravens Lodz 19:3 in the previous round, while Kosynierzy were forced to postpone their game vs Warsaw’s Grom.

„We’re treating this game quite seriously. We’re well prepared and we’ll step on the field with confidence. Matchups against Wroclaw were always a spectacle and an attraction from the fans’ point of view. Hopefully, this fact will be a good trade off for the bad weather that’s forecasted for Saturday’s game and they’ll come in large numbers to cheer on both sides” – summarised Jedrzej Baginski, Poznan Hussars’ President.
