PLL: Dragons vs Hussars - game canceled

The outstanding 5th game, between Dragons Krakow and Poznan Hussars, from the 2011/2012 season of the Polish Lacrosse League scheduled for March 10 has been cancelled. The PLL coordinator, Daniel Wegrzyk, is looking into the matter.

It wasn’t known until the end of the week whether the game would take place within the set date. The team from Krakow had to wait until the last moment for a decision from the Juvenia Krakow sports facility manager concerning the rental of the field for the PLL game.

News arrived in Poznan on Friday morning, a day before the planned game, of the negative decision concerning the field rental. The grass wasn’t ready yet to be played on.

„The Dragons didn’t have a backup field, which is why we decided to forward the matter to the league’s coordinator. Most likely, the game will take place at a later date." The Hussars' captain,Pawel Hamrol, explained.

The matter is ongoing.

Instead of this game, the Greaterpoland team scrimmaged between themselves in preparation for the Polish Lacrosse League’s spring round.
