PLL: Warsaw played for Poznan, Hussars become League victors!

The team from Greaterpoland forever have been written into the history books of Polish sport. The Hussars captured the championship title at the second last round of the Polish Lacrosse League (PLL) thanks to Grom’s win over Kosynierzy!

April 17, 2011 is a day worth remembering. In Warsaw, during the second last round of the PLL, Grom Warsaw were challenged by Kosynierzy Wroclaw, resulting in a score of 7:4 for Warsaw. Kosynierzy seemed to be the favourites, who aspired to become the champions. Yet the capital’s players showed fighting spirit and no intention of backing down, which was reflected throughout the course of the meeting. Warsaw obtained the lead already in the first quarter and kept it until the end of the match.

The Hussars won all 5 games played in the PLL and have been in the leading position nearly from the start. The Kosynierzy lost two games, which from a mathematical point of view, nulls their chances at becoming champions.
