PLL: Poznań Hussars vs Kraków Dragons - announcement

The claimant to the title of champion, the Poznan Hussars, will play host to the Krakow Dragons on Saturday, April 16 2011 at 3:30pm in the MOS stadium on ul. Gdanska 1.

The Krakow Dragons were established in March of 2009. A group of enthusiasts decided to follow the lead of Poznan, Wroclaw and Warsaw in creating another lacrosse hotbed. Initially, the team was a section of the Krakow Knights American Football club, though, in time the team became independent and changed its name to the Krakow Dragons.

The first game between Poznan and Krakow took place on November 7, 2010 during a historical edition of the Polish Lacrosse League (PLL) when the Dragons hosted the Hussars. The game ended with a huge loss for the Dragons 3:20.

The Poznan Hussars and Poznan Hussars Ladies are active beyond the field of sports. There will be a charity drive of collecting money donations during the game for Susie; a little girl suffering from cystic fibrosis. More about the drive at http://siepomaga.pl/r/hussars

Currently, the Poznan Hussars hold 1st place in the PLL, while the Krakow Dragons are last in the rankings.
