PLL: Grom In Poznan, Hussars undefeated.

The first game in the spring round of Polish Lacrosse League ended giving the Hussars a solid victory. The capital of Wielkopolska remains unconquered.

In the Autumn roud the team from Wielkopolska won in Warsaw 9:7. The rematch in Poznan was a great opportunity for the Grom’s  players to settle the score. However they came in the number of 10 players…

Mateusz Rydzak, the main official, started the game at 1:30PM. After a few minutes of Poznan players started to attack Grom’s goal. Numerous shots on Warsaw’s goal brought Poznan’s lead 2:0. Both goals scored by Jedrzej Baginski. Tight defense of the Hussars didn’t allow guests to score. Quarter ended.

The second quarter started from fierce attacks of the Warsaw’s player. In nearly three minutes they managed to score twice and the game was tied. Those goals only motivated the Hussars to attack even harder. They started to dominate on the field and documented this advantage with four goals scored by Zdzislaw Ratajczak, Norbert Kinecki and two by Pawel Hamrol. Half time and the score was 6:2 for Poznan.

The third quarter started from very good play of Krystian Komar who assisted in the goal of Zdzislaw Ratajczak. The Hussars’ Defense played hard and sometimes broke the rules. The officials had to gave some penalties. In the man down situation third goal was scored for Warsaw by Karol Dubrawski. Immediately after a face off Kamil Lamorski scored after a long run on the right side of the field (which is his typical play). Score after third quarter 8:3.

In the fourth quarter first goal was scored by Zdzislaw Ratajczak (it was his third goal). Marek Biesiada assisted in this goal. Most of the time the ball was at the Grom’s side. Even Grzegorz Irla, Polish National Team’s defender after a precise shot scored his first goal in his career. Only a few minutes left to the end of the game but both of the teams played for 100%. As a reward Grom scores for the fourth time and Kamil Lamorski for the Hussars settles the score as 11:4.
