III edition of the Diabetes Charity Run

The 'Diabetes Charity Run' is the next edition of this campaign organized in Poznan. As in past years it's accompanied by The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, which will play for the 19th time on January 9, 2011!

This year, Poznan Hussars players supported the campaign as well. Participants of the run conquered 2km, finishing by the 'Castle' cultural center. The route ran through Wieniawskiego Street, up on Aleja Niepodleglosci crossing Karola Libelta, Plac Cyryla, 3 Maja, Ratajczaka and St. Martin Streets all the way to CK Zamek (Castle cultural center); also the starting line.

At the forefront of the race ran the symbolic "Mr. Sugar", who took the form of a sugar cube. As per tradition, the Poznan Hussars in their black and white uniforms were on his heels along with 200 other runners. The race was symbolic in nature and took place within a friendly atmosphere without rivalry present. It was only at the finish line that aggression took hold... The Hussars threw themselves at "Mr. Sugar" and pulverized him! The symbolism of this scene couldn't be more explicit.

The Poznan Hussars Sports Club would like to thank the organizers and all participants of the race for a great time.
